“Wasted is a song about trying to look at life a differently when things basically suck. It’s so easy be negative. Sometimes you’ve got to do a little mental karate to get back on track and actually be productive or helpful to another person. When there are outside forces acting upon you that you don’t like, just acknowledging them and letting them exhaust themselves can drain them of their power.
The first line of Wasted is “Remember me when you are sitting in your tower on the Sun”. It’s the mentality of how sometimes sitting back and watching something train-wreck can be far more effective than actively pushing your personal agenda. The chorus is meant to take you to a place of total release, just screaming along and pushing out all the trash you just don’t have time for anymore.” - Dean Povinsky (Wildlife)
